What Is Imperialism?
Imperialism is a policy taken on by primarily Western countries in which an industrialized, developed country extends its power and influence, usually through military force and sometimes diplomacy. This often creates an unequal balance of economics, the redistribution of territory, and political domination biased toward the imperialist country. The dominated country is often oppressed, taken advantage of, and its culture lost in the process of imperialism.
